AJAD MMM runs sexuality education program in Cote d’Ivoire to combat teenage pregnancies

Cote d'Ivoire / UNESCO - Following the implementation of UNESCO's O3 program on Comprehensive Sexuality Education in communities, AJAD MMM continues its campaign in schools in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Côte d'Ivoire and the UNESCO National Commission of Côte d'Ivoire.

EmailUNESCO envisages this through the Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future (O3) Programme (2018-2020), which aims for a consistent reduction in new HIV infections, early and unintended pregnancy, gender-based violence, and child marriage.
The aim of the AJAD campaign is to prevent early/teenage pregnancies by educating young people about the causes and consequences.
AJAD (whose Founder and President, M. Bolly Kouassi, is pictured above with school children) this month visited the Bessio Modern College in Dabou and ran different activities with undergraduate students:
- Film, discussion, talks
- Presentation of the scheme of comparative evolution of the bodies of a boy and a girl
- Presentation of practical situations favouring the choice of responsible behaviour in teenagers in the face of decision-making.
This school awareness campaign is placed under the high sponsorship of the UNESCO Office of Abidjan.
