MMM/UNESCO Partnerships for grassroots projects

Les Commissions Nationales de l’UNESCO

L’UNESCO est la seule institution de l’ONU à avoir créé des Commissions Nationales avec ses Etats membres comme liens directs avec la société civile. On en compte actuellement 198 qui forment une véritable famille mondiale. Constituées par leurs gouvernements respectifs, les Commissions Nationales agissent de façon permanente pour associer aux travaux de l’UNESCO, des groupes nationaux, gouvernementaux et non gouvernementaux, compétents en matière d’éducation, de science, de culture et de communication.

Mettre en relation les Commission Nationales et les associations membres

C’est par exemple dans ce cadre qu’un partenariat exemplaire a été établi en 2014 avec Aide à la Jeunesse Africaine Défavorisée (AJAD). Suite au Forum de Yamoussoukro sur l’accès à l’eau en Afrique organisé cette année là par l’UNESCO et le gouvernement de Côte d’Ivoire, le Président d’AJAD, M. Bolly Kouassi, a créé le Réseau des ONG-UNESCO de Cote d’Ivoire (RONUCI) et proposé un plan stratégique pour la réalisation des objectifs de ce Forum.
