Through its advocacy work, Make Mothers Matter seeks to influence policy to bring about positive changes in the lives of mothers.
Working with and for mothers and involving them in decision making and projects that affect their life has beneficial effects on their children, their families and more broadly on society.
MMM is active in the European Union, UNESCO, and the United Nations, where it enjoys  General Consultative Status.
MMM works to influence the debates that are held at the European level, which have a direct impact on laws and policies concerning mothers and their families in EU countries
Commission reports, debates in the European Parliament, new directives ... the European Delegation seizes every opportunity to make policy recommendations that are favorable to mothers and families.
