The “We Learn Everywhere” (WLE) project is a pioneering initiative that has made significant strides in promoting family well-being through education and support for parents and children across Europe. As this impactful project approaches its culmination, we at Make Mothers Matter will, amongst many others, celebrate their successes at the final conference in Brussels on 23 January 2024.
In a world that has been reshaped by challenges, the well-being of families has emerged as a paramount concern. The “We Learn Everywhere (WLE)” project, co-funded by the European Union under the ERASMUS+ KA220 ADU program, stands as a testament to the resilience and adaptability of European families, offering a beacon of hope and support to parents and children alike. We were delighted to coordinate this project and to partner with UNESSA, Acción Familiar, University of Turin, Symplexis, CANDIDE and ReadLab.
For two transformative years, the WLE project has championed the cause of inclusive and diverse adult education. With a focus on high-quality, flexible learning opportunities, WLE has worked tirelessly to construct pathways for adult upskilling, particularly for those in challenging circumstances, thus broadening the horizons of adult education throughout Europe. These pathways are aimed as a supportive tool for the positive psychological development of parents and children and to promote family wellbeing.
The project was driven by a series of strategic objectives, aimed at:
The results of the WLE project have been both inspiring and substantial, delivering a comprehensive tool-kit and a suite of didactic activites through a Digital Learning Centre, which also provides engaging training sessions with auto-didactive assessment tools. The course can be found at https://elearning.wle-project.eu/.
We invite you to join us at the final conference which will be hosted both physically at the European Economic and Social Committee and online. This seminal event is not just a showcase but a celebration of our collective commitment to family well-being, resilience and growth.
The conference will unveil the project’s achievements and its influence on European families. It will also be an opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers, listed above, about a topic very close to our hearts. Embrace the opportunity to contribute to a dialogue that empowers parents, enriches children’s lives, and strengthens the fabric of our communities.
We look forward to welcoming you to an afternoon of insight, celebration, and forward-thinking.
