Madrid, Spain – In Spain, Make Mothers Matter joined forces with Fundación Másfamilia – efr to present our State of Motherhood in Europe survey findings at the Día de la Conciliación y la Corresponsabilidad, a landmark event championing the balance between work and family life.
This year’s theme, Conciliación real, impacto global, brought together over 250 participants, including business leaders, policymakers, and advocates dedicated to building more family-supportive societies.
MMM contributed a video presentation highlighting early results from our State of Motherhood in Europe 2024 survey – with a specific focus on the realities faced by Spanish mothers.
Angela Garcia, MMM project Manager
Our findings underline a stark reality: while progress has been made, too many mothers still struggle to balance caregiving with meaningful employment. Employers and governments alike must step up to ensure that inclusive, flexible, and family-friendly policies become the standard – not the exception.
When mothers are supported, society thrives. The time to act is now.
